I love you both, and I have questions for you both to think about. This is something that I am learning and wanted to put it out there for you both.
Big Brother, you have always known the Great I AM! Adonai Elohim–Tzva’ot. You have always been His special people, the People of God whom He made Covenants and Promises to, giving you hope and He has intimately revealed Himself to you. Reading about how loved you have been by the Great Adonai, through the ages, today, and in the days to come is one of the greatest love stories ever. As a non-Jewish follower of Yeshua, who has tasted and seen how good the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is through the eternal salvation of Yeshua, I look up to you and love you so much, but YOUR Messiah that I have in my heart is my true passion that I want to share with you. Essentially, the back of the book.
Little brother Christian, you have experienced the heights, widths and depths of the love of God through Yeshua, yet you enter into the salvation with so much joy, but soon many of your parts find themselves on unsure ground and not understanding why when your initial experience was awakening, powerful and beyond human. We are missing out on what our Jewish Big Brother has known for generations! We talk about the promises of God, but we have never been told that joining with Yeshua also joins us to the history, riches and promises that our Big Brother has had the whole time! We try to define it by looking at scripture here and there, but never making the connection to our Big Brother and his extremely significant role in our lives.
So, my question is… why? We seem like siblings that have been at odds for so long, yet we each bring a piece of a Divine puzzle, when we lovingly come together and share the parts that we have been given with each other. Truly, we are one body with many parts… without each other we are lacking, and it’s completely clear. You have so much to teach us after we receive Your Messiah into our hearts! And we want to share that Messiah with you, but, because we we were deprived of the part You bring (the front of the book), we are having a hard time trying to tell you, since what we have to say started with you… was passed along to us starting with Shaul (Paul), who was trained under Rabban Gamaliel, son of Simeon Ben Hillel and grandson of the great Jewish teacher Hillel the Elder. So for us to try to explain what originated with you back to you is not easy, especially when you have so much to teach us.
I heard it explained in this light
Big brother, you have the unexplored deep, rich parts of the iceberg.
Little brother, you see the top which gives eternal life and joyously receive it
Big Brother, come up for some air, little brother, go deep.
Numbers 21:7-9 Complete Jewish Bible (Complete Jewish Bible) 7 The people came to Moshe and said, “We sinned by speaking against Adonai and against you. Pray to Adonai that he rid us of these snakes.” Moshe prayed for the people, 8 and Adonai answered Moshe: “Make a poisonous snake and put it on a pole. When anyone who has been bitten sees it, he will live.” 9 Moshe made a bronze snake and put it on the pole; if a snake had bitten someone, then, when he looked toward the bronze snake, he stayed alive.
John 3:13-15 Complete Jewish Bible (Complete Jewish Bible) 13 No one has gone up into heaven; there is only the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man. 14 Just as Moshe lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up; 15 so that everyone who trusts in him may have eternal life.
1 Corinthians 12:12-14 Complete Jewish Bible (Complete Jewish Bible) 12 For just as the body is one but has many parts; and all the parts of the body, though many, constitute one body; so it is with the Messiah. 13 For it was by one Spirit that we were all immersed into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, slaves or free; and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 For indeed the body is not one part but many.
Galatians 3:27-29 Complete Jewish Bible (Complete Jewish Bible) 27 because as many of you as were immersed into the Messiah have clothed yourselves with the Messiah, in whom 28 there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor freeman, neither male nor female; for in union with the Messiah Yeshua, you are all one. 29 Also, if you belong to the Messiah, you are seed of Avraham and heirs according to the promise.
Colossians 3:10-12 Complete Jewish Bible (Complete Jewish Bible) 10 and have put on the new self, which is continually being renewed in fuller and fuller knowledge, closer and closer to the image of its Creator. 11 The new self allows no room for discriminating between Gentile and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, foreigner, savage, slave, free man; on the contrary, in all, the Messiah is everything. 12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with feelings of compassion and with kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
